First and most divergent of the eight gods is Gaea, the World Mother. Among all the gods her domain is the world itself, and it was she who is said to have birthed all life onto it. Gaea is the embodiment of nature, elemental forces, of life and death, and of hunter and prey. Unlike the other gods she did not leave behind scriptures to perpetuate her will in the world. It only takes one look at an overgrown temple to see why she did not need to. Gaea’s will is the force of nature itself, and written language cannot properly describe it.

Gaea’s priests are called Druids, and they also vastly differ from the mortal servants of the other gods. Wanderers, and shapeshifting warriors, Druids are people who have heard the call of mother earth, and heeded it well. They are charged with the obeying and protecting the balance of nature, and they have a reputation both as strange hermits, and as dangerous stalkers in the night.
